Grizzly Valley Days

Grizzly Valley Days is a fun time here. We have a ton of events starting with the Jr. Rodeo and ending with the Rodeo and final concert. This year, we got a surprise with Joey Murphy being called out of the audience where he treated us all to a song.

There’s plenty to do, with the fundraiser at Justin’s Lodge, County Fair events and the Midway Games. Our locals are always blue ribbon winners and many are second and third generation.

Locals can camp at the Hossenger’s Ranch, although the rodeo participants get first priority. Others can donate and stay at Justin’s Lodge or camp at the Grizzly Valley Preserve.

We have some wonderful locals who really should be in the spotlight, but they take the back seat. It’s easy to see throughout the town the influences of these leaders. Just look around.

Generous donations built the children’s hospital, Justin’s Lodge, and fund the Lincoln Thomas Foundation. We have other leaders like our STEAM school run out of our local Tech Tribe. If you left your lights on in the parking lot at the fair, Taylor and Liam will be right there to give you a jump start.

Look for some great changes coming to this town. The redevelopment agency has received an application to rehabilitate the burned out factory and surrounding block thanks to a new non-profit group. Stay tuned for more as the details become public.
