Transitions New Adventures

The Murphy family (formerly the Murphey’s) have taken a trip to California. They somehow ended up in Grizzly Valley and making a lot of new friends. Joey’s being a little bitch though, thinking it’s all about him. He did have a scare after all doing the McDonalds commercial.

Welcome to Mock Donalds – the double sided McDonalds studio in Hacienda Heights, CA. Used exclusively for commercial shoots, this is where the Murphy family spent a few days filming. Joey didn’t have a good time here and the director treated him like crap.

Joey had a run-in with fans at their hotel and somehow a talent agent got wind of everything and assigned his best body guard to help the family. He quickly bonded with Joey.

The family escaped the stalkers in Hollyweird and ended up in Ventura at the Holiday Inn Express. There was a pleasant surprise in store for them the next morning.

The constant fear of the “threat” against Joey still looms. We don’t know what that is yet.

The hotel is in the parking lot of Six Flags Magic Mountain. The boys had a blast, even though Alejandro couldn’t get on the ride that he so wanted to get on. Eric was fine with that and happy to ride the merry-go-round with him.

From Ventura, they flew via luxury helicopter to Grizzly Valley where they are guests of Chandler Prescott, agent to the top stars.

Nice ride!

Unfortunately while visiting, tragedy struck their home. They are on their way back to find Buddy, their belongings and just make sense of the destruction.

Joey goes through a dark phase, feeling lost and unsure what to do. Through his healing, he inspires his dad and Andrew Thomas to create a place called the Lighthouse to help troubled teens recover, without the traditional hospitalization and drug therapies. He wrote a song while he was healing and here it is. His voice was hurt, but in a surprise, Dawson stepped in to help in a duet. Dawson seems to understand this in a way he’s never said before. Of course he had his family there to help, including Gus, the boy who saved him and Max, who rescued him. “Where the light lives” from the album “The Lighthouse” by the Grizzly Valley Boys.

“Where the Light Lives”
Written by Joey
Lyrics below the play bar

Verse 1: (Dawson)
I was falling through silence,
No voice loud enough to break the dark.
I thought the end had spoken,
I thought I’d buried my own spark.

But then came a flicker,
Like a song I forgot how to sing.
A hand in the water,
Pulling me in from the ring.

Chorus: (Dawson)
And I found where the light lives,
Where broken isn’t shame.
Where love comes without judgment,
And no one asks your name.
I was lost in the waves,
Now I stand, heart in my ribs—
And I know, I know now,
Where the light lives.

(Max, Alejandro, Grayson, Tran)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

Verse 2: (Joey)
They called me guest, not patient,
Spoke to me, not through the glass.
And every hug, every silence,
Helped me shatter what couldn’t last.

Bridge: (Joey and Gus)
One song, one spark, one flame in the dark,
That’s all it took to start again.
Now I sing with the wind,
For every soul still waiting in the rain.

Final Chorus: (Dawson)
Come find where the light lives,
Where you’re more than what you did.
Where healing isn’t hidden,
And love won’t stay hid.
You’re not your pain, you’re not your scars—
You’re every chance you choose to give…
So come on home…
Where the light lives.

(All)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

(Joey)
Where the light lives.
