Meet Kent, Dorothy and Andrew Owens.
The Owens family lived in Grizzly Valley for about 12 years. Kent was well known and popular. He could be found at his son’s soccer matches every weekend. He was a man’s man and had lots of buddies that gathered to play poker at his house.
Dorothy ran the book club at Grizzly Bookstore and could often be found leading discussions at the Old Town Cafe late into the night while sharing a glass of wine with the other members of the club.
Andrew was a quiet boy, but he loved soccer. He had the full support of his dad and coach.
Tragedy struck the family when Andrew mysteriously disappeared. We won’t spread rumors here, but the boy was truly missed by his team. They petitioned the city to rename the park in his honor. You can visit Andrew’s Field and see the fields that are the home to many of our cities activities.
Some people say Andrew Thomas’ story is based on little Andrew. He does have a number of stories and one could just be about little Andrew.
